THE FINAL rounds in the 2016 Netball in Paradise will kick off today with the Under-17 division at the Bluesky Sports Arena in Nikao.

The U17 semifinals will be held today followed by the Open Ladies showdown.

New Zealand’s Whangaruru, which won the open grade last year, are favourites after maintaining a winning run in the opening two days of tournament last week.

The side defeated Rising Stars 21-15 in their opening match on Thursday before overcoming Ruapehu 20-15 and local side Anguna 25-7 on Friday.

On Saturday, Whangaruru was due to play the second round of matches against them. Results from Saturday’s games were not available yesterday.
