GORGEOUS conditions kicked off the Rising Stars Netball Championship for U17 & U21 players last Saturday.

It was an amazing experience, especially for the girls who played for the first time ever at their village courts as well as residents who were ecstatic with the return of netball to the community.

Turnout was high as the Takuvaine Red Angels hosted the Tupapa Panthers in the Happy Valley, Avatiu Dragonflies hosted the Ngatangiia Tradewinds in the swamp, and Titikaveka Pearls hosted the Arorangi Flames on the south side.

Games continue today with Takuvaine hosting Arorangi, Tupapa playing Avatiu, and Titikaveka challenging Ngatangiia. Turn up at the village courts today in your club colours and support your team!

Results and photos are posted on the Rising Stars Netball Championship Facebook page following games.
