Netball in Paradise kicks off today

Some explosive battles between local and visiting teams are set to take the centre stage in the opening day of Netball in Paradise today.

 

The fourth edition of the annual event which kicks off with the official welcome ceremony at 2pm will begin with the competition proper at 2.30pm at the National Sports Arena.

Social ladies, under-13, open ladies and mixed division matches will be played this afternoon.

Netball Cook Islands president PJ Hockin is expecting some exciting matches and is asking fans to turn out in numbers to support their respective teams.

Netball Cook Islands is also hoping to tap into some potential and talented players who can feature for the national team in the future.

The national coaching panel will be scouting talented players at the Netball in Paradise and prepare the national team for the Tri Series against New Zealand under-21 on December 15 and 16.
