Teinaki has cricket at heart

It’s the love for cricket that drove the 36-year-old Davis Teinaki back to his roots.

The Avana Women’s Cricket Club recently returned from their New Zealand tour. The side played matches against the Hamilton Northern District Cricket Club team during the visit.

National rep and former Tupapa bowler Davis Teinaki has been named the new chief executive officer of Cook Islands Cricket.

After about six and a half years at the helm of Cook Islands Cricket, chief executive officer Alister Stevic is set to step down.

Cook Islands Cricket is pleased with the progress made in the development of the sport at the outer islands.
