Defending champions Bravehearts remain on track of successfully defending their title in the Classic Pairs golf tournament this weekend.

The side will take on giant killers Skipa in the final today at the Rarotonga Golf Club course in Nikao.

Bravehearts will be led by Kris “Gunz” Williamson and Ali “it’s a Honda” Webb while Skipa will have the services of Sonny “Caspa” Karati and Phillip “Ipa” Urlich.

Both teams overcame a tough battle in the semifinals last week to make it through to the showdown.

Bravehearts took on the Painkillers in the opening cup semifinal, which proved a nail-biter.

In a hard-fought battle, the Bravehearts maintained their composure to win 3-2.

Skipa took on the favourites Drum n Bass in the other semifinal.

The David versus Goliath battle was also an intense one and eventually the underdogs, Skipa, survived, winning by 1-0.

In the other matches played on Saturday last week, Ebony n Ivory defeated John and Pape Aviu 4-3, Rakahard overcame Vaike and Joe 3-2 while Henry Royle Henry and Eddie “Vijay” Tuaati continued their fine form with a 2-1 win over the Underdogs.

Goose n Munz also had a good day winning 7-6 over Arrow n Wahoo, Undercovers defeated Enoka n JJ 3-2 and the Bad Boyz drowned the vocal Purple Rain.
