Titans out for a win

Titikaveka Titans have come close to winning The Computer Man Rarotonga Cricket Championship thrice in the past three seasons.

And each time, they have finished second to the eventual winner’s Tupapa in the men’s competition.

So the Titans will be hoping for a winning start against Matavera at Matavera Field today in the opening round of the competition.

Despite being the favourites, Titans captain Hori Miller says they are in for a tough battle.

Titans maintain a winning record against Matavera, beating the side each time they played in the last four meetings.

Cricket Cook Islands chief executive officer Alister Stevic says the match between the two competitive teams is expected to be “a cracker.”
