Manea cricketers rewarded

At the conclusion of the men’s and women’s Manea Games cricket final on Monday – Cook Islands Cricket announced a Computer Man Tournament Selection Team.

The Tournament Selection Team is an honorary team – which is selected using the statistical software CricHQ.
The intention of the tournament selection team is to recognise the achievements and efforts of the competition’s top performers from all islands.
Awards for the top batters, bowlers and fielders were also awarded with each player picking up a prize courtesy of the Manea Games cricket key sponsor The Computer Man.
The Men’s Computer Man Tournament selection team includes Tuainekore Rima, Rimamaki Kareroa (Mangaia), Shane Munokoa, Daniel Tutai, Davida Paulo (Aitutaki), Tuku Samuel, David Ngaiore, Nooroa Tua (Mauke) and Marona Teiotu (Atiu).
The top male batter of the tournament was awarded to Shane Munokoa (Aitutaki), top fielder Nooroa Tua (Mauke) and top bowler Shane Munokoa (Aitutaki).
The Women’s Computer Man tournament selection team is made up of Papa Maora, Metuavaine Atariki (Mangaia), Benedicta Matapo, Raita Moetaua, Sala Matapo, Apii Tangata, Teiti Tupuna, Amelia Moetaua (Mauke), Amantta Mangi, Hinano Mataiti and Rossaline Tatira (Aitutaki).
The top female batter of the tournament was awarded to Benedicta Matapo (Mauke), top fielder Papa Maora (Mangaia) and top bowler Apii Tangata (Mauke).            - CIC
