ELECTION PROMPTS ACTIVITY

Wasn’t it amazing how so many things suddenly happened just weeks before the election? Airport terminals built, PM’s breath test results finally released (four years after a motor accident), Muri road survey pegged. Wow!

BETTER DEALS PLEASE BLUESKY

Bluesky isn’t giving out good deals for post-paid customers and everything is getting expensive, complains one smoke signaller. Some weekends Bluesky offers 10GB @ $10 (with an expiry date) to wifi users. Prepaid customers get a bonus of $10 top-ups with an extra $10 for promo plus 450 free texts, while post-paid starter packs pay $49 a month for 1GB, 1000 texts and 200 minutes of calling, with $10 for an add-on of 500MB or $30 for 1.75GB. If you exceed your data you pay 20c per MB or upgrade to an advance post-paid package and the only promo we get is to win gifts. Come on Bluesky, surely you can do better deals for us than that!

DRUG TEST EMPLOYEES

I wonder how many employees would fail a random drug test if implemented on Rarotonga? Employers can help to monitor and manage their staff’s drug use so as to improve productivity and reduce workplace accidents. Smoking pot is common and readily available on Raro but the worrying part is that some are resorting to using ‘white powder’, which may explain why some are becoming violent.

GLAD TO HAVE A BREAK

I don’t know about anyone else but I’m looking forward to a break from those people who have treated the nation as if it was their little kingdom.
