Letters: Accept offer of NZ ambulance

New Zealand wouldn’t spend the money to send over a dud (“Critical care needed for ailing ambulance,” Oct 31).

Come on Ministry of Health, accept the offer.
One “reliable” operational ambulance is not enough for the population.

How much better is this Japanese Toyota ambulance going to be? (Mercedes on the other hand are extremely reliable).

And how much longer do the people of Rarotonga have to wait?
It could be used as a backup or sent to one of the outer islands when your proposed new one arrives.

Pretty sure they need health resources too, not just our main island. Need to see the bigger picture.
Finally, I notice all these “gifts”. Why are we relying on all this foreign aid?
