Kia orana editor,

With regard to the front page article (“Fears of being ‘bullied and railroaded’,” October 16), in truth, the working committee of the Stanley Heather Family have committed unequivocally for several months, to uphold to the highest standard, their responsibilities as ambassadors for their family and people to reach the best possible outcome for our nation’s economic future.

The working committee of the Stanley Heather Family have been diligently working with Avaroa Cable Ltd to ensure the mutual process of establishing an Enduring Agreement is based on collaboration, research and integrity. And Avaroa Cable Ltd has supported the working committee to achieve this.

The new Infrastructure Act 2019 has allowed the working committee of the Stanley Heather Family to navigate the landscape of establishing a partnership with Avaroa Cable Ltd in the form of an Enduring Agreement which has been successfully achieved.

Sincerely,

James Burns
Working committee member
The Stanley Heather Family
