Dear editor,

Kia orana in the wonderful name of Jesus and Halleluia to His Name. On Monday night I was watching and listening to the Cook Islands Television just after 10pm.

Valentino Wichman was sharing about the responsibilities of the Te Tiare Association and their activities to the people of the Cook Islands. He also talked about their Association being decriminalised and their plea to the people of the Cook Islands for equality in the community.

John 3:16 declares that “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Mr Editor, the love of God to His creations was available to those who hunger and thirst for righteousness. God respected that and we must understand that God is God and He is no respecter of any persons.

My heart is to all those men and women … I humbly need to share with you that what you are doing is not the answer to your life problem. I would love to share with you that the Love of Jesus is the only way for you to inherit the Kingdom of Heaven.

We have a Manihiki proverb that goes like this, “Me kua fanau hia mai koe e tamaiti tamaroa e noho noti koe tamaiti tamaroa, me kua fanau hia mai koe e tamahine noho noti koe e tamahine.” If you are born a male child, stay as a male child, if you are born a female child, stay as a female child.

I would like to make a stand to the Leaders in the Government, our Traditional Leaders and Church Leaders, E ara e pure kia kore te Basileia e uri tapoki ia.

Yours in Christ

Pastor Temu Ngarima George
