So as fair compensation, I suppose, to getting a 45 per cent hike in MP salaries, the Demos have challenged the PM to increase by 45 per cent the legally required parliamentary sittings days.
Was this reported correctly?
Does the Demo leadership know that the minimum requirement is 1 sitting day per annum and what 45 percent is of one day?
If anyone bothered to check, no more than an extra 180 minutes from a daily sitting of four hours per day.
I'm sure the PM would agree to that, and the Demos, well they will definitely be staying in Opposition on the back of that calculation.
