We mourn with those who mourn, so we take time for those massacred in Christchurch.
That is good, but what about our Papua neighbours in Indonesia?
That same week more died in flooding and landslides and thousands more were displaced, yet their news came and went so quickly, as if their lives were of less value.
Being buried alive is equally traumatic and the thousands of displaced people are also in distress.
Is anyone asking if that disaster was the result of deforestation or human greed?
Is anyone held to account?
We only had radio for news so perhaps more is being said, we are just not hearing.
