Total rainfall was 91.6mm last month, with the highest daily rainfall of 23.1mm coming on Wednesday July 9.
That compares to 166.7mm of rain in July last year, when the wettest day brought 64.9mm.
The report shows the number of days it rained more than 50mm was two last July, but zero this year.
Met Service Director Arona Ngari said it’s worth noting that those measurements are taken from only one point on the island, near the airport where his office is located.
“Rainfall on the other side of the island and in the hills could have been much higher,” he said.
Other figures suggest the weather in July 2013 was worse than in July this year, at least for people living in Nikao.
Total monthly sunshine last month was 135.7 hours, compared to 70.1 hours in July last year.
And the mean maximum temperature last month was 25.8 degrees, a touch higher than 25.7 a year ago.
However, the temperature did drop to a 39-year low last month - 13.9 degrees on July 27th. The chilliest moment last July was 17 degrees.
