Nines on despite the weather

Rain, hail or shine, the Cook Islands Rugby League Nines tournament will go ahead today at the BCI Stadium in Nikao.

The rainy weather in Rarotonga and rest of the southern group is expected to continue throughout this weekend due to a trough line located west of the Southern Cook Islands.

Eleven artists are set to take part in a local art exhibition tomorrow at the newly-built Tavioni Gallery and Vananga located on the back road at Atupa.

A casual survey conducted by the Cook Islands Tourism Industry Council has found 83 per cent of the tourism businesses operating from the main road on Rarotonga are owned by Cook Islanders.
