Google in the Cooks

Monday August 19, 2013 Written by Published in Technology

A Boeing 762-200 private jet belonging to Google landed at Rarotonga Airport on Friday, August 16 and departed on Saturday.

The crew of the plane requested the strictest confidentiality and was here for ‘parking,’ purposes according to Air New Zealand airport support officer Paul Turepu. The purpose of Google paying a visit to the Cook Islands is being kept under wraps, but it is rumoured to have been here for research.
