Ministers home for parliament

All Cabinet ministers are expected to remain in Rarotonga for the second week of Parliamentary sitting.

The final parliament sitting for the year started on Monday last week with consideration of a number of bills and the presentation of papers.

The top bill, the Crimes Bill 2017 was, however, unable to get much deliberation as the select committee is yet to finish their consultations.

The committee was given more time to consult the public and report back to parliament.

A number of bills were also discussed and passed last week, with more expected this week.
