Brown, Glassie off to Germany

Finance minister Mark Brown and health minister Nandi Glassie will this week leave for Germany to attend the 23rd Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP23).


The United Nations Climate Change Conference will take place from November 6 to 17 at the World Conference Centre in Bonn, Germany.

Prime Minister Henry Puna is already in Bonn to attend this important conference, convened under the presidency of Fiji.

Before arriving at the COP23, Brown will attend “financial meetings” in Singapore and Hong Kong. He is expected to return home by November 19.

Health minister Glassie is attending the COP23 on behalf of the World Health Organisation.

He will leave the country today and is expected to return by November 16.

The remaining ministers will be in Rarotonga this week.
