PM speaks at PITA conference

Prime Minister Henry Puna is back in the country after attending the University of the South Pacific graduation in Suva, Fiji last week.

Puna, who is the regional university chancellor, was the special guest at the annual event.

This week, he will attend the Pacific Islands Telecommunication Association conference which will be held at the National Auditorium.

Finance minister Mark Brown remains in Fiji where he is attending meetings.

His office did not divulge information about the meetings, described as “important”.

Agriculture minister Kiriau Turepu is also out of the country, attending a week-long environment conference in Tonga.

The remaining ministers will be on Rarotonga this week
