While his office could not confirm his business in Singapore this week, Puna has been confirmed to attend an economic summit in Hastings, Hawke’s Bay on February 20 and 21.
HE will be attending the Taniwha Dragon Economic Summit as a guest speaker, with the subject, “The Cooks to corporate China.”
Ngati Kahungunu Iwi, a Maori organisation, is hosting the Taniwha Dragon Economic Summit which aims to provide an opportunity to highlight successful economic relationships, while also providing an opportunity for new relationships to be formed.
The format for the summit will be a café-type conference conversation with 250 people in attendance.
The summit will also bring together Maori, Hawkes Bay businesses and their Chinese partners to discuss growing relationships, confidence in the markets and the social spin-offs that result from evolving partnerships.
The two-day summit will showcase Chinese, Maori, New Zealand and Pacific relationships across a whole spectrum of business arrangements and joint ventures in an effort to give confidence to Maori organisations to do more business with Asia.
