Prime Minister Henry Puna was the only minister who travelled overseas on official assignment last week.
He was on a study tour in New Zealand in a bid to learn more about securing the sustainability of the country’s tuna resource
The Cook Islands delegation which returned to Rarotonga on Friday also included MP Moana Ioane and Ministry of Marine Resources secretary Ben Ponia.
Puna earlier told CI News that his government needed more time to discuss issues of concern to be tabled in the parliament before confirming the first sitting of the year.
Family Law Bill, budget and EU fisheries deal are expected to be the major issues raised when the parliament sits.
