Justice of Peace Carmen Temata adjourned the matter for callover on March 3.
JP Temata said as she was advised by the prosecution that no representative of Strickland motors appeared the previous week and they have been trying to resolve the case with the defendant.
Prosecution said that a bench warrant was not needed but they are likely to request it in the future.
Prosecution stated that summons for failing to furnish annual income tax return, failing to furnish monthly PAYE, failing to furnish annual PAYE tax reconciliation statement and failing to furnish monthly VAT tax return were issued in January and Monday last week also.
Prosecution added that they wanted the defendant to cooperate.
JP Temata adjourned the matter to next month stating that the collector of tax is in the process of trying to assist the defendant in meeting his tax obligations, in the process of trying to resolve it.
