A CINews story highlighting some of the problems faced by Punanga Tauturu (PTI) has sparked action from passionate Rarotongan residents keen to lend a helping hand.

Police responded to an unusually high number of domestic violence incidents over the weekend, attending seven incidents involving family disagreements. 

A local family will lead a runathon on Rarotonga this weekend, in a bid to raise awareness and funds for the Ronald McDonald House charity in New Zealand.

A French Navy vessel is now sailing in Cook Islands waters and is due to dock at Avatiu in early September.

A series of adjournments has seen a large number of Rarotonga youngsters caught in the judicial process for the last four and a half months.

Local and international chefs have their aprons and toques at the ready for this weekends Cook Islands Chefs Association (CICA) Gala Dinner.
