Finch is a former Miss Cook Islands and Miss South Pacific who won the title in 2010. She is now a Mechatronic Engineer who recently spent three months at Shiga in Japan. She is the second Polynesian person to graduate with a mechatronics engineering degree at the University of Auckland, the first was a male.

 Electronic items that are no longer of any use can now easily be recycled thanks to the work of Cook Islands General Transport’s Recycling Cook Islands division.

FIFTY STUDENTS from Apii Te Uki Ou learned about the importance of the Nikao cemetery next to the Cook Islands Returned Service Association, when they visited the site on Tuesday. And the group, made up 25 students from grade two and 23 students from grade four learned plenty from their visit.

Picnic day success despite rain

Despite the heavy downpour which drenched the island on Saturday, the Cook Islands Fijian Community Association (CIFCA) still went ahead with their planned family picnic day at Black Rock Beach in Nikao.
