BSP Relationship Manager John Paul Wilson and branch manager Tokoa Harmon recently visited both islands to oversee the launches and Wilson described both events as “very successful and a great initiative for the people in the outer islands.”
BSP agencies offer a variety of services including cash withdrawals, deposits and bill payments. Customers can also check their account balances using their BSP Pacific or BSP Visa Cards.
Wilson said the bank now has three agencies in the outer islands.
“Both Super Brown and Babes Trading are iconic businesses, which is one of the reasons the bank had decided to partner with them,” he added.
“Everyone knows and shops at these stores.
“We want to offer our customers convenient banking services. When they come to shop at either Super Brown or Babes Trading they will also be able to do their banking.
“While we have been visiting Atiu and Mangaia we have taken the time to assist customers with new bank accounts and have run financial literacy sessions at the schools”
BSP has six agencies in Rarotonga and three in the outer islands including Aitutaki, Atiu and Mangaia.
“Our new agency offers more services than the traditional ATMs. This latest development is a testament to the bank’s commitment to the Cook Islands and a sign of our continual investment to bring convenient and cost effective banking options to all customers,” said Wilson.
More agency locations on other islands are currently under consideration, as well as new locations in Rarotonga.
