BANKING and the purchase of goods will be made much easier for BSP customers in Aitutaki following the launch of the bank’s new agency at Aquila Store on July 8.

BSP Aitutaki branch manager, Rosa Henry says the launch of the new agency was very successful and is an exciting initiative for the people of Aitutaki.

BSP agencies offer a variety of services including cash withdrawals, deposits and bill payments and customers are also able to check their account balances using their BSP Pacific or BSP Visa Cards.

She said the Aquila store is an iconic business in Aitutaki, which is one of the reasons the bank decided to establish a new agency there.

“Everyone knows Aquila Store and we want to offer our customers convenient banking services. When they come to shop at Aquila they will also be able to do their banking. It’s also fantastic the launch coincided with BSP’s first anniversary in the Cook Islands.”

BSP has six agencies in Rarotonga and this is the first for the outer islands. However, there are plans in place to expand further.

“Our new agency offers more services than the traditional ATMs. This latest development is a testament to the bank’s commitment to the Cook Islands and a sign of our continual investment to bring convenient and cost effective banking options to all BSP customers,” says Henry.

More agency locations in Aitutaki and other outer islands are currently being considered. The next agency in Rarotonga will open shortly at the new TEM Store in Tupapa.
