The Miss Cook Islands Tropicana Parade showcasing striking garments from local designers was well-received by the audience this weekend.

Modelled by the seven stunning Miss Cook Islands contestants, the Polynesian-inspired clothing complemented the confident graceful women beautifully.

And not forgetting our young men – they too walked the runway, in creative Pacific styled trousers and shirts, posing playfully, amusing the crowd.

Then stepped out the slender and striking Suniella Tom, with her chic blonde hair style. She blazed the catwalk in a three piece trouser suit, outshining the boys.

With ease, our beautiful women: Tajiya Sahay, Maruia Willie, Emma Kainuku-Walsh, Brooke  Tinomana, Memory Richard, Eva Parker and Pearl Lazaro, paraded gracefully for the designers of the Project Runway Tropicana Parade.

The refreshing Pacific Island styled designs displayed were commendable.

Thanks to the designers: Petua's Creations, Manini, PN's Creations, Mirella Creations, Heihere, Tauariki, Lily's in Muri, Inangaro and Tangi Mataroa; and accessories created by Mrs Q and Meli Tapaitau.

The next appearance from the contestants will be Saturday night at the National Auditorium.
