Reece Napa used to make breakfast for his dad and spend the day with him and just “hang out”. Sadly, his father has passed on – and Napa misses the fun times they had, the good company and the laughs.

For dads who enjoy laughs and a lager, Reece is offering some Father’s Day specials at Rarotonga Breweries.

A four-litre flagon will be on special for $20 and, if you spend a minimum of $20 you qualify to be in the draw to win a free four-litre stainless steel flagon.

A fit father of six children, Li Ponini from Motor Centre is looking forward to good food on Sunday and just spending time with his family.

Raised by his grandparents, he recalls having umu kais on Father’s day, going to church and resting.

He has a Father’s Day solution too: encourage your dad or husband to get fit and trim for summer by visiting the Motor Centre and checking out their mower discounts.

The store is mindful of the rainfall and how luscious and quickly our grass grows and is reducing prices on mowers, grass cutters and blowers for Dad’s special day.

Purchase one of these Motor Centre garden tools that will produce delightful results that people will stop to admire how well trimmed and tidy your lawn appears, and of course for the special men in your lives to get physical, healthier and in better shape while being productive around the home, rather than the gym.

Tapuia (Tabby) Paitai Teava at Prime Foods is delighted to be a dad to his 5-year-old daughter and enjoys chilling out with her, although he wouldn’t mind a good hearty breakfast as well.

Children who are willingly to cook your dad a hunger stopper breakfast, ask Mum nicely to stop into Prime Foods and check out the specials.

The shop has lovely Grandpa’s, yes Grandpa’s big breakfast sausages that are exclusive to the store.

Kiwifruit, home-grown natural juices and ice cream are included in the sales – great for your dad’s morning meal treat.

Explore and expand your taste buds and trial the free tasting in store from 2pm to 5pm today.

Those who are not up to cooking on Sunday, treat the whole family for barbeque lunch and desserts at On The Beach (OTB) in Arorangi, for only $39.50 per person.

Dad is sure to relax with his toes snuggled in the soft sand while he and the family dine with melodious island string music and of course, the happy hour prices from 3pm to 6pm.
