French Navy patrol boat visits Rarotonga

Just over two years old, the ship weighs 20,000 tons, is 64 metres in length and has a crew of 23 of which five are female.

Bougainville is on a routine visit to the island to strengthen ties. The vessel arrived at Avatiu Harbour yesterday morning and will depart on Friday heading back to French Polynesia. An open day tour of the ship will be held today and tomorrow from 9 to 11 am. Please note children must be accompanied by an adult.
