Possibly a little much for the beach

Not the sort of thing you would usually see walking along the beach, however, some of the firefighters from the Puaikura Volunteer Fire Brigade joined the Hash House Harriers group for their run starting at Magic Reef Beach Bungalows in Arorangi.

Nine Cook Island firefighters from the Puaikura Brigade will be competing in the Sky Tower Stair Challenge on the 18th May 2019.

They will climb 52 floors or 1103 steps with all 25kg of structural fighting equipment. The overall objective is to raise as much money as possible for the Leukeamia and Blood Cancer foundation in New Zealand and to see who can get to the top the fastest, of course.

We wish them well.
