The 68th edition of the event which features 118 contestants from all over the world, is being held in China. It will run until December 8.
Koteka-Wiki performed a local dance in the final which was eventually won by Miss Japan Kanato Date.
“I was so proud and humbled to represent our nation last night as a Miss World Talent finalist.
“All 18 performers gave it our best and everyone was incredible! Huge congratulations to Miss Japan for winning talent and fast tracking to top 30! Your singing is simply magnificent,” Koteka-Wiki posted on the Miss World Cook Islands page.
According to her profile on the Miss World website, Koteka-Wiki is a graduate in psychology with a minor in Pacific Studies from Auckland University, New Zealand.
She runs her own business and is working as a property manager.
The 26-year-old Koteka-Wiki has visited over 40 countries, where she experienced diverse cultures, landscapes and architecture.
She is a trained group fitness instructor and also a trained open water diver who loves nothing more than free diving with the local turtles and eagle rays. She is passionate about hiking and is a former competitive swimmer.
Her personal motto is “you are only confined by the walls you build”.
