Pastry chef wins award second year running

Edgewater Resort pastry chef Noel Minimo has been named as the resort’s employee of the year for 2017.

 

In a ceremony held on Wednesday, Minimo who was given the top prize for the second year in a row has been working at the resort since 2014 and said he was very proud to be named again.

As a result of winning, Minimo has again won a trip to Aitutaki, including accommodation at the Tamanu Beach Resort, a lagoon cruise, scooter hire and spending money.

Minimo also won the employee of the month for December alongside Sireli Tui.

Edgewater Resort general manager Bob Taylor paid tribute to Minimo for winning the award consecutively.

“To win it twice on the trot is a great achievement and a lot of hard work we all see from the island nights to the pastries we have all enjoyed here today”.

Runners-up behind Minimo for the employee of the year were, Peter Pokipoki and Vaine Tuaivi.
