Apii Nikao students made their parents and families proud this year after winning awards at their prizegiving on Friday.

The ceremony saw crowds of family members and supporters embrace the students with love, after they were rewarded with prizes for their academic and sporting achievements.

Principal Elizabeth Kapi said all the award recipients had worked hard this year and deserved the recognition.

“I am sure they have made their parents and families really proud.”

Kapi said she was thankful to everyone who had supported and contributed to the betterment of the school this year, including donors, government agencies, non-government agencies, and businesses, community and parents.

“I also want to thank our teachers, children and school PTA for all our achievements this year. “We couldn’t have done it without your commitment, perseverance, and hard work,” she said.

The school wishes everyone a merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
