Smith departed Rarotonga last month to begin her journey through the Miss World competition with 119 other contestants.
The Miss World pageant is presently in the “Head-to-Head Challenge” stage of the competition, which is about the world getting to know each contestant through social media.
The contestants have been divided into 19 groups and Smith is in Group 5.
On Saturday afternoon (CI time), a video was posted on YouTube showing Smith and five other Group 5 contestants sharing a personalised video made to express their interests and backgrounds.
Following the airing of the video, a final question was asked of each of the contestants.
People around the world will be able to vote for their favourite answer and the contestant with the most votes will earn a spot in the “Miss World Final 40”.
Smith says in her video that the reason she decided to compete in the Miss Cook Islands competition, is because she is always up for a challenge.
“Life will always be boring, if you just remain in that comfort zone, so you just got to get out there,” she said.
Smith adds that it has been a humbling experience taking part in Miss World, and she is looking forward to being an ambassador for the Cook Islands.
She also shares her enthusiasm for conserving the environment and what makes The Cook Islands so special to her.
