The recently turned 21-year-old is passionate about her culture. She loves dancing and is a member of the Akirata Dance Troupe. It’s her love of dance and culture that has already taken her to Japan and Europe as part of Cook Islands Tourism focused roadshows.
Salis plays for the Arorangi Flames, is very active in church fellowship and activities and wants to complete her university degree in business and marketing and see as much of the world as possible.
Along the way she wants to improve her cooking ability and do all she can to make the world a safer place. She’s a “home” girl who likes listening to R&B and reggae. She likes watching horror movies and dramas, her favourite movie, which she has seen many times as it “stuck” with her, is “The Help”.
Salis joined the pageant to get out of her “comfort zone”. It was something different, something new and another chance to experience new things. Not exactly your typical “boring person”.
