CI News was on Aitutaki over the weekend and spoke with community members involved in the search. They said they were taking time to regroup and re-evaluate the situation before continuing with the search.
An updated report on the case has yet to be received by Cook Islands Police.
Recent rumours that Marsters had been found had caused much unnecessary heartache for the family, one community member said.
