Miss Pacific Islands contestants will make their debut in this year’s pageant at a purely Polynesia fest next Wednesday.

South Pacific Resorts Limited managing director Erika Bult said Crown Beach Resort and Spa will be hosting a Gala Pacific Buffet Dinner and spectacular cultural event which is set to wow both the contestants and guests.

Government officials will be attending, including the Prime Minister of Samoa, Tuilaepa Aiono Sailele Malielegaoi.

The eight Miss Pacific Islands contestants hailing from all corners of the Pacific will enter the event as Pacific Queens, as a special pa’ata has been built to carry the ladies into the restaurant.

The food on display will be a range of delicious delicacies from across the region and each contestant will be introducing herself and describing the dish from her homeland.

Local entertainment will be provided by Te Tiare band and Akirata.

Tickets for the event on December 9 at 6.30pm are available from Crown Beach Resort and Spa.
