Prime Minister Henry Puna will be away until next week at what is set to be the most significant meeting on climate change in Paris this week.

Puna and his delegation including his chief of staff Elizabeth Wright-Koteka and Climate Change Cook Islands’ Ana Tiraa are at COP21 in Paris this week, and will return to Rarotonga on December 10.

The meeting has renewed importance after the tragic Paris terrorist attacks which plagued the French capital three weeks ago.

Deputy Prime Minister Teariki Heather, Minister of Finance Mark Brown, Minister of Health Nandi Glassie, Minister of Agriculture Kiriau Turepu and Minister of Internal Affairs Albert Nicholas are all set to be on the island this week.
