Facebook campaign pushes for helmet law
The helmet debate has been simmering for years. Back in 2007, artist Inia Taylor showed off some of the crash helmets he had adorned with traditional graphics in the hope of attracting more people to wear them. Taylor said he wanted to help bring down the road toll.

The loss of lives in road accidents has prompted a group of concerned citizens to run an online campaign on making helmets compulsory for motorists in the Cook Islands.
