Today is the day to get registered to be an official 2015 Mobro!

Join the Movember team at the Punanga Nui market today from 9am-12pm and sign up to help fight prostate cancer in the Cook Islands.

Registrations cost $20 and the first 100 Mobros to complete registration will receive a free limited edition 2015 Mobro tshirt featuring design by local artist Raniera Ellison.

A shaving station will be set up to help the Mobros prepare for “Movember” where they will need to be cleanly shaving and begin growing their ´mo from scratch to participate. Last year saw over 100 local men sign up for Movember with top prizes awarded to those who were outstanding in their growing and fundraising efforts. James Taufa took out Mobro 2014 and David Street of BSP won the prize for ¨creepiest mo¨.

Official Movember CI ambassador and president of the CI Prostate Cancer Foundation, George George says this year’s focus is on awareness.

¨Last year we raised an amazing amount of money that the CIPCF have put towards developing posters, leaflets and info materials for local sports clubs to encourage our men to get checked. This year through Movember, we want men talking about prostate cancer. “Seeing a moustache on someone who doesn´t normally have one is a great way to get the conversation started.”

Throughout the month, give generously to those brave men who´ve opted to become Mobros and help us in the fight against prostate cancer.
