Visitors from overseas are arriving to take part in the week-long, wellness-focused holiday which will include twice daily yoga, spa treatments, island excursions and more.
Local residents can take part in the yoga classes too and they are open to anyone interested in exploring the benefits of yoga and experiencing a bit of bliss, right here at home.
Beginners are welcome, with no prior yoga experience required to find your inner zen.
Yogi Maya’s retreat schedule includes a gentle yoga class on March 4 for an hour from 8am perfect for beginners, and a restorative yoga session in the afternoon on the same day from 5pm that is about relaxing tension.
On March 5 from 8pm for an hour, Yogi Maya will run a yoga Nidra class, described as a conscious deep sleep similar to meditation that is seen as a healing practice. On March 6, yogan Vinyasa will work up a sweat through simple poses that strengthen the body, rev up your metabolism and leave you feeling refreshed and energised.
All classes are held at Muri Beach Club Hotel and are just $10 per session and yoga mats are provided.
