The National Environment Service (NES) is running a week-long workshop on “good practices in refrigeration”.

Held at the New Hope Church, the workshop was organised through the NES Ozone Depleting Substances project.

The workshop was formally opened on Monday by NES director Joseph Brider who extended a warm welcome to all participants during his opening speech.

Said Brider: “The training session is necessary for successful implementation of the Cook Islands hydrofluorocarbons phase-out management plan through capacity building incentives.”

Participants include 19 technicians from companies on Rarotonga and one from Aitutaki. The workshop will close on Friday. - Release
