The first round of the Rising Stars Netball Tournament will begin today, to continue a strong week of netball on the island.

There was plenty of running, jumping and throwing at Araura College’s annual athletics day on Thursday.

A dominant performance by their forward pack was the difference for the Tereora College First XV team on their way to a 21-17 win over Kaitaia College on Thursday.

Three members of the Creative Centre are now fully qualified baristas.

Tereora College have claimed a Kaitaia College scalp, becoming the only team to beat the visitors on their Rarotonga tour.

Organisers of the Primary Schools Viva 7s and Netball tournament held on Wednesday have hailed the event as a great success.
