Tereora College art students have ended the year on a high with their beautiful art portfolios.

It’s been a rush for the students to meet their deadlines, there have been late nights painting in the art room where boxes of pizza and energy drinks have filled the bins.

Art teacher Charlotte Cousins said she is proud of what her students have achieved.

“We have had a really busy year, it’s been an incredibly challenging year for the students and visual art just takes time,” said Cousins.

The students have put together solid portfolios representing who they are and what they are interested in.

After a great year, Cousins is looking at introducing level two print making courses and level three photography.

Cousins is getting calendars featuring the artwork of this year’s students, printed.

When printed, the sale of these will also contribute to purchasing new art supplies for the school.

Donations are also welcome to help the school purchase art supplies and equipment.
