The young refreshed and excited students attending Apii Rutaki Primary were eager to get back to school for the start of the first term.
Many of the kids said they had missed their friends and were getting bored of the tiresome chores at home.
“I know it’s good to be helpful to my parents, but I got sick of raking the rubbish every day to make the yard look tidy, and it was hot, but I did enjoy swimming after my chores,” said a grinning young pupil.
“So, I love being back at school, and seeing all my friends and it’s not boring and I want to learn,” piped up another child.
Apii Rutaki’s current roll stands at 91, the school continues to accept enrolments; unfortunately, the school’s landline is not functioning, however parents are welcome to visit the principal Poti Maeva in person to register your interest.
