Imanuela Akatemia was the latest school to take to the track this term, with students of all ages out in force on another warm spring day at the National Stadium on Wednesday.

From relays and sprints to the high and long jumps, all the students were out to show their athletic potential and of course have some fun.

The senior students were using the day’s competition as a warm-up for Friday’s Youth Athletics Championship, which will feature secondary school athletes from Rarotonga as well as a number of the outer islands.

Meanwhile, the primary and intermediate students will have a few more weeks to work on their track and field events with the Rarotonga Primary Schools’ Prince of Wales Athletics Championship to be held towards the end of the term.
