Two schools in Rarotonga got to experience a high-energy concert on Friday.

Apii Te Uki Ou and Tereora College were both treated to a performance by the Australian music group Justice Crew, ahead of their R18 gig at Rehab nightclub on Friday night and their all-ages performance on Saturday night.

Justice Crew members John and Lenny Pearce, Lukas Bellesini, Paul Merciadez and Solo Tohi gave a dance performance to their hit song ‘Everybody’, before giving both schools a short dance tutorial.

“Now when you all come to our concert, you will be able to do the moves with us as well,” Lukas Bellesini told Tereora College students after teaching them the dance routine to the chorus.

The group then invited students to join them on stage and show off their moves in a freestyle jam.

Tereora College student Purotu Puna said she couldn’t wait to see the boys again on stage at Rehab on Saturday.

“It is really exciting to be able to attend a gig like this at Rehab,” she said. “They don’t usually put on performances for those of us who are not over 18.”

Justice Crew originally formed as a dance troupe in 2009 and rose to fame a year later after winning Australia’s Got Talent.

The group have had two Australian number-one singles and have toured with international artists Chris Brown, Janet Jackson, One Direction, Kesha and Pitbull.
