TEREORA College will host a National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA) information evening to parents and teachers new to the programme at 5pm today.

School principal Tania Morgan said the information evening had been held annually for a number of years and was open to both parents and teachers.

Presentations will cover how NCEA works and will explain the credit system. The grading system will also be clarified, as will certificate and course endorsements and how can parents help their children with their study.

“The information evening is an opportunity for the college to make sure that parents are kept up to date and are made aware of information regarding the qualifications on offer,” Morgan said.

“As part of our learning charter, the relationship between parent, child and school is crucial to success.”

Time will be set aside for questions.
