Tereora juniors honoured

Tereora College held its prize giving for the junior pupils last week.

 

Students beamed with pride as they were honoured with awards and plenty of colourful eis for their efforts and successes this year. 

Prizes were awarded to top academic students as well as awards for sports and culture.

Four year 10 students treated the parents and teachers to a beautiful cultural performance.

Special awards for year nine:

Tini Maruhi received the award for class of 67 best academic student in the middle band classes.

School committee award for overall excellence in Academic, sports and culture and sixth overall in year nine went to Carlos Taua Tini Heather.

Fifth overall – Pauline Kaimarama, fourth overall – Tiamarama Tuivaga, third overall – Zsaleya Sword-Tua, second overall – Koimataariki Bishop, first overall – Terall Timoti

Special awards for year 10:

Angela Williams received the award for Te Ara Tiroa Overall Trophy for the student who most  upholds the ethics of the school’s learning charter.

The Toru Unuia Award for Overall Excellence in Academic, Sports & Culture went to Moeroa Harmon.

Sixth overall - Teremoana Fukufuka, fifth overall - Kiana Puna, forth overall - Marlina Nicholas, third overall - O-Hiva Williams, second overall - Moeroa Harmon, first overall - Nay Chi Myo Min.
