The Edgewater Resort and Spa celebrated World Tourism Day yesterday with a “border opening” programme.

The resort’s Food and Beverage and Activities team themed the restaurant and outside dining area to replicate border control facilities complete with a Customs clearance and passport control desk, airport meet and greet desk, airport security officers and the famous Kia Orana welcome entertainment provided by the Resort’s band, Ru and the Boyz.

A special array of international food was also setup with a great choice of cuisines from across the world.

Roland Neururer, the resort’s food and beverage manager, said: “Many local guests enjoyed a very beautiful day at Edgewater for World Tourism Day 2020. It was a fun afternoon in the sun with relaxing live music and fun beach games.”
